Getting set up
When your business is new to WastePro, the Get set up screen is your starting point. It’s a simple checklist that walks you through getting your business running on the platform — you’ll find it as Get set up near the top of the menu.
If you don’t see a Get set up item in your menu, don’t worry — it may be switched off for your account, or hidden because your setup is already well underway. Everything it links to can still be reached from the normal menu.
The checklist
The screen shows your Setup progress — how many of the six steps are done — with a progress bar. You can go live once your customers, sites and services are in; the rest make day-to-day running smoother.
You don’t tick these off by hand. Each step completes itself automatically as soon as the matching information exists in your account, and shows a live count. So the checklist is really a to-do list that keeps its own score.
The six steps, in order:
Import your customers
Your client accounts — the foundation everything else links to. This is the first thing to load in.
Import your sites
The service locations you collect from, each one linked to a customer.
Set up services & pricing
What’s collected at each site, how often, and what it’s charged. Links to your Services screen.
Add your vehicles
The fleet that runs your collections. Links to your Vehicles screen.
Add your drivers
The employees and subcontractors who do the work. Links to your Drivers screen.
Invite your team
Give your colleagues access, each with the right level of permission. Links to Users & roles.
Bulk-loading customers, sites and services
The first three steps usually involve a lot of records, so the Get set up screen includes an Import wizard for loading them in bulk from a spreadsheet:
Pick what you’re importing
Choose Customers, Sites or Services, and download the matching CSV template so your columns line up with what WastePro expects.
Fill in the template and upload it
Paste or type your data into the template, then upload the file.
Preview and check
WastePro shows you a preview and flags anything that doesn’t look right, so you can fix it before committing.
Commit the import
Once it looks good, confirm — and the records are created in your account.
The import wizard covers customers, sites and services (the big lists). Vehicles, drivers and team members are quick to add directly on their own screens, so those steps link you straight there rather than through an import.
Next: once you’re set up, Your Dashboard is where day-to-day work begins.
